An Arkansas funeral is planned for a former Miss America contestant originally from Forrest City.

Cara McCollum died Monday from injuries sustained in a one-vehicle crash on a New Jersey highway a week earlier.

The funeral is set for 2 p.m. Sunday at First United Methodist Church, 101 S. Izard St. in Forrest City, according to the Prayers for Cara Facebook page. The page had earlier posted updates about McCollum's condition after the wreck.

McCollum was a graduate of Princeton University and competed in the 2013 Miss America pageant after being named Miss New Jersey that year.
