Authorities: Anabolic steroids, syringes found at Siloam Springs gym

A Siloam Springs gym owner was arrested Wednesday after a search at Iron Core Athletics turned up anabolic steroids, used and unused syringes and about $900 cash, according to a news release from the Benton County Sheriff's office.

Cassidy Jay Gunneman was being held Friday in the Benton County Jail in connection with felony delivery of a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

A 24-year-old woman was also arrested in connection with misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to the news release. She was released on citation.

Iron Core Athletics, at 1995 U.S. 412 East in Siloam Springs, offers a variety of classes including mixed martial arts, Krav Maga and boxing, according to its Facebook page.

"Iron Core offers a variety of classes and the option for one on one, personal training," the Facebook page states. "Our main focus is to help our clients achieve their health and fitness goals."
