Jodie Lee Poll, 34, of 2201 S.E. Ninth St. in Bentonville was arrested Monday in connection with aggravated assault, second-degree battery and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, according to jail records.

Pea Ridge police were called at 7:25 p.m. to a stabbing on Patton Road, according to an affidavit for Poll's arrest.

The affidavit said a 24-year-old man had a stab wound in his mid-back and was taken to Northwest Medical Center--Bentonville. Police said Wednesday the man and Poll were a couple. There was no full name for the man listed in the affidavit.

Two people at the residence told officers Poll and the man argued and moved into the kitchen, according to the affidavit. The man ran out of the kitchen bleeding from his back. The other couple told police they saw Poll holding a knife, according to the affidavit. Poll was asked to leave.

Bentonville and Pea Ridge police found Poll at a relative's home in Bentonville.

Asked about the knife, Poll told a Pea Ridge officer it was in her purse and she was sorry the argument got out of hand. Police recovered a hunting style knife with a blade about 6 inches in length, according to a police spokesman. A marijuana container and pipe were found in Polls' purse, according to the affidavit for her arrest.

The man told police Poll came at him with a knife, and he blocked her first attempt, but she stabbed him when he turned from her. The man has been released from the hospital and was served a misdemeanor warrant by the Rogers Police Department, according to the affidavit.

Poll was being held Wednesday in the Benton County Jail on a $20,000 bond.
