A Florida woman died when she fell from a moving tractor-trailer on Interstate 40 in Crawford County on Tuesday, according to Arkansas State Police.
Karol Sheffield, 55, of Port Orange, Fla., fell while trying to close a door on the truck near mile marker 20 on I-40. The trailer ran over her after she fell, according to a police report.
Police described the driving conditions as dry and clear when the accident occurred about 2:45 a.m.
State police detectives are investigating, the report said.
Sheffield's death was the 37th on Arkansas roadways in 2016, according to state police.
