Def Leppard changed

Def Leppard has postponed its remaining dates on the winter 2016 tour with Styx and Tesla, including tonight's show at North Little Rock's Verizon Arena, "due to illness," according to a news release.

The band's announcement didn't elaborate, but Rolling Stone reports that drummer Rick Allen told fans on Twitter, "The doctor basically said that if Joe [Elliott] continues to sing without resting his throat for a month he might do permanent damage." Elliott had bowed out of performances on the Def Leppard Cruise, Jan. 21-25, and the band had previously also postponed concerts Jan. 27 in Greensboro, N.C., and Jan. 30 in Orlando, Fla. Elliott has also reportedly told fans he was suffering from severe laryngitis.

The release says that "All shows from Feb. 2 will be rescheduled . ... Details on new dates will be announced soon. Tickets will be honored on the rescheduled dates. If you are unable to attend the new date, full refunds will be available at point of purchase. Please stay tuned to defleppard.com."
