Springdale police arrest 2 in stabbing of man

Springdale police arrested a 20-year-old man Saturday in connection with a stabbing that occurred Friday night on Thompson Street, police said.

Authorities arrested Martin Turrubiartes-Olver on aggravated robbery, second-degree battery, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and engaging in violent criminal group activity charges, police said Monday on Twitter. He was released at 4 p.m. Sunday from the Washington County jail on a $10,000 bond, according to the Washington County sheriff's office website.

A minor was also arrested on two charges: accomplice to aggravated robbery and engaging in violent criminal group activity.

Springdale police responded at 8 p.m. Friday to 702 S. Thompson St., where they discovered a man had been stabbed, according to dispatch logs. The man was taken to a hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

An investigation is ongoing.
