James Hoelscher , a senior manager in Wal-Mart Stores Inc.’s Environmental, Health and Safety Compliance Department, received a 30-year membership award from the American Water Works Association. He joined the American Water Works Association in 1985 and has served on five national association committees. Hoelscher earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in environmental science from the University of Arkansas. He holds several water and wastewater treatment licenses.

Scott Jeffus joined BNC National Bank as branch manager of the bank’s Northwest Arkansas loan production office at 1100

S. Walton Blvd., No. 138 in Bentonville. He was a senior loan officer at Bank of Arkansas. He has 15 years of mortgage lending experience. He attended Paris (Texas) Junior College on a tennis scholarship, then went to Texas A&M University at Commerce.

Kayla Pipkins, PA-C, MLS, joined Sparks Clinic Cancer Center in Fort Smith. She earned her master’s of physician assistant studies and a bachelor of science in medical technology from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. She graduated with honors in May 2015.

John Newman was named executive director for Life Styles after serving as interim executive director. Newman was assistant director at Life Styles for three years and has worked for Tyson Foods Inc. and the Arkansas Support Network.

Mark Marquess joined Priority Bank’s board of directors. He owns Riverwood Homes and has been active in Northwest Arkansas’ real estate and development community for more than 35 years, building more than 2,000 homes and developing almost 3,000 residential lots. He has been president of the Northwest Arkansas Homebuilders Association, vice president of the Arkansas Home Builders Association and served two terms on the Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce board of directors. He earned a degree in marketing from Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College in Miami, Okla.

Marvin Caston joined Priority Bank’s board of directors. Caston, the associate director of the Razorback Foundation, began his professional career as an assistant athletic director for compliance with the Razorbacks in 2005. He has worked with the foundation since 2009. He earned a bachelor of arts and a master of arts in education from the University of Arkansas.

Kathy Deck, director of the Center for Business and Economic Research in the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas, was named to the Real Estate Industry Council of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. The council meets twice a year.

Kevin Snyder joined Weichert, Realtors - The Griff in Company’s Fayetteville off ice. He is a member of the Arkansas Realtors Association and National Association of Realtors. Snyder was a basketball coach at Bucknell University, Brown University, Williams College and the College of William & Mary. He graduated from Williams College in Williamstown, Mass., in 2009 with a double major in psychology and art.

Dr. Mark J. Fowler joined Sparks Obstetrics & Gynecology located inside Sparks Plaza on Dodson Avenue in Fort Smith. He earned his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences, F. Edward Hebert School of Medicine, Bethesda, Md., in 1996 and completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the National Naval Medical Center and Walter Reed National Medical Center National Consortium in 2000.
