Puppet production

Alpha Psi Omega, the University of Central Arkansas' honorary theater society, will host a devised theatre puppet slam titled "Peace, Love and Refugee" at 5 p.m. Saturday at UCA Downtown, 1105 W. Oak St., Conway. The program consists of short collaborative theater performances written by UCA students and focusing on their interpretations of the word "refugee," and derive from a series of devised theatre workshops with April Gentry-Sutterfield and puppetry workshops with Katie Campbell. Some performances may contain adult content. Admission is $5; proceeds go to El Zocalo Immigrant Resource Center in Little Rock. Conway composers

The Conway Composers Guild Concert, 3 p.m. Sunday at Conway First United Methodist Church, 1610 Prince St., Conway, will feature the premiere of Cling by Ryan Key of Fayetteville, winner of the 2016 McBeth Memorial Composition Competition sponsored by the guild. Support for the award also came from the Conway Symphony Orchestra; Geoffrey Robson and Philip Mann of the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra; and Makemusic Software. The program will include works by Jorrell Bonner, Michael Yoder, Paul Dickinson and Hendrix College's Sydney Hickok (Class of 2017) and Karen Griebling. Admission is free. Chesney at AMP

Def Leppard change

Def Leppard's Tuesday concert at North Little Rock's Verizon Arena has been postponed -- as have the band's remaining Winter 2016 tour dates -- due to illness.
