Armed suspects rob Springdale restaurant, punch employee

UPDATE 4:30 P.M.

Springdale police are searching for two armed suspects who robbed a restaurant Thursday night.

Employees of Zaxby’s, at 400 S. Thompson St., reported two males with handguns entered the restaurant about 9:20 p.m., took an undisclosed amount of money and fled, according to a news release issued by Lt. Derek Wright of the Springdale Police Department.

“During the robbery, one of the employees was punched by one of the suspects,” Wright said.

The first suspect is described as a black male between 5 foot 11 and 6 foot 1, wearing a black hoodie and black-and-white shoes. The second suspect is described as a black male between 5 foot 7 and 5 foot 8, wearing a gray hoodie and white shoes, according to Wright.

Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to contact Springdale police at 479-751-4542.
