Based in North Carolina, American Aquarium, which took its name from a Wilco song ("I Am Trying to Break Your Heart"), debuted in 2006 with the album Antique Hearts, and later released The Bible and the Bottle and Bones in 2008. Leading the alt-country, Americana band is B.J. Barham who also records and tours as a solo artist. He released his solo debut, Rockingham, earlier this year.
