With a career spanning two decades, stand-up comedian Jim Breuer says the only thing still surprising him about the industry is social media.

"People keep coming up to me bringing up the 'Hokey Pokey.'" Breuer says referring to a bit he did years ago impersonating the rock band AC/DC doing the well-know children's song.

"Why is everyone bringing this up? That was like 2002! People keep discovering me through social media, but my fan base keeps growing. [I figure] as long as I go out and crush it for a solid hour [with my current material], they will forget what they really wanted to hear."

Breuer says he's loving his latest material he's bringing to shows across the country right now. It's in line with what he's known for -- venting about his family, energetically using the space of the stage -- but Breuer says his set now may be the strongest he's ever had.

"I think I'm becoming like wine -- better with age," he jokes. "I like doing things everyone can relate to. And I love that you don't have to be scared to come to my show. A female doesn't have to worry [about the content] because I'm not going to bash women or get super sexual. People say they appreciate they can bring their aunt, their [teenagers] to my shows and that has been a huge compliment."

Breuer's style of relatively family friendly comedy (there is some adult content) is coming to the Cherokee Casino in West Siloam Springs, Okla., on Saturday, so only adults can get in anyway.

If you don't already know him from his appearances on Comedy Central network, his autobiography, his recently released metal album or his four years as a cast member on "Saturday Night Live," get to know Jim Breuer through his venting about his family this weekend on the Qualla Ballroom stage.
