POWER COUPLE

Guests, family celebrate newlyweds at luncheon

A colorful painted sign declaring "Together is a wonderful place to be" along with a display of pumpkins and pansies greeted newlyweds Wanda and Roger Steging and their friends as they arrived at a luncheon on Nov. 26. The decorations were on the front porch of hosts Karen and Jerry Fetzer's Chenal home.

The couple were married in a private ceremony in the chambers of U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Phyllis Jones, who officiated. Their sons Josh Steging of Little Rock and Blake Hendrickson of Raleigh, N.C., attended.

Guests were served a glass of champagne upon entering the Fetzers' luncheon. Tables were placed throughout the residence to accommodate 65 friends and family members, who later enjoyed a buffet of bacon-wrapped shrimp, strawberry and mandarin orange salad, beef tenderloin, feta green bean salad and wild rice.

The bride, the former Wanda Hoover, is assistant dean for external relations at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock's William H. Bowen School of Law. The bridegroom is a senior vice president at Arvest Bank.

The couple took a short honeymoon trip to Big Cedar Lodge in Ridgedale, Mo., and plan a wedding trip to the Pacific Coast at a later time.
