Leg lamp, pink bunny props at gala fund NLR chamber scholarships

The 18th annual A Night at the Rep featuring A Christmas Story was held Nov. 22 at Arkansas Repertory Theatre. Nobody shot their eye out, but guests could have a photograph taken with a cardboard prop of the famous leg lamp or poke their heads through a photo prop of Ralphie's hated bunny pajamas for a photo.

The annual event hosted by the North Little Rock Chamber of Commerce supports the chamber's programs, including Arkansas Scholars, Leadership Renaissance and Career Connect. Proceeds also go toward local scholarships.

The evening began with a reception in the lobby and on the second floor. Tables of silent auction items lined both spaces offering some 150 items, including gift baskets, event tickets, vacation packages, jewelry and gift certificates. Member restaurants offered up food for a buffet that included pizza, boiled shrimp, barbecue and dips, as well as an array of tempting desserts. After the reception, guests enjoyed a production of A Christmas Story.

Arvest Bank was the presenting sponsor.
