Repairs to a drainage system will require the closure of a section of Arkansas 48 west of Carthage in Dallas County and a detour for three days beginning today, the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department said.
The work will require closing the highway between Arkansas 9 and Carthage from 8 a.m. today until 5 p.m. Thursday, weather permitting.
Westbound motorists will have to use Arkansas 229 north to Leola and Arkansas 46 west to Arkansas 9. Eastbound motorists will have to take Arkansas 9 north to Arkansas 46 and east to Leola and then south on Arkansas 229, the department said.
