Rogers group collecting supplies for flood victims

Sheep Dog Impact Assistance is collecting and transporting supplies to Louisiana to help victims of recent flooding.

Those wishing to help may drop needed supplies at the group's national office, 1200 W. Walnut St. in Rogers. Supplies requested include: cleaning supplies, tools and safety equipment.

Monetary donations to purchase other supplies and offset transportation costs are also being accepted. Donations may be made at sheepdogia.org/donate-money.

Sheep Dog Impact Assistance, founded after Hurricane Katrina by Marine Sgt. Maj. Lance Nutt in Rogers, aims to serve as an outlet for service by military and first responders -- "sheep dogs" -- and is modeled after a Marine Corps Quick Reaction Force.
