THE BATS & BLUEGRASS FESTIVAL — The Illinois River Watershed Sanctuary in Cave Springs will celebrate International Bat Viewing Day with the fourth annual Bats & Bluegrass Festival on Saturday. Outdoor activities begin at 4 p.m. Tontitown bluegrass group Southern Tradition will take the stage at 6 p.m. at the natural amphitheater. CHRIS KNIGHT — Country/Americana singer and songwriter Chris Knight has been compared over the years to Johnny Cash, John Prine, Steve Earle and Nebraska-era Springsteen. After the release of his last album in 2012 though, Knight now stands alone as a singer/songwriter who has carved his own idiosyncratic sound and sensibility out of the dirt road American dream.
