Pinnacle Foods to expand Fayetteville facility, add jobs

Pinnacle Foods will expand their food manufacturing facility in Fayetteville, add a new line to the plant and add jobs, according to a news release from the Arkansas Economic Development Commission.

The new line, Evol, focuses on foods with cage-free eggs and without antibiotics, artificial ingredients and genetically modified ingredients according to the news release. The new line will add 25 jobs over two years, the news release stated.

"We have a very significant food manufacturing sector in the state that is further strengthened through today’s announcement," Gov. Asa Hutchinson said in the news release. "We look forward to the economic impact these new jobs will have on our economy.”

Pinnacle's Fayetteville plant currently employs 420 full-time workers and produces Hungry Man meals, Aunt Jemima breakfasts and other frozen food, according to the news release.
