Springdale man gets 6 years for distributing meth

A Springdale man was sentenced to six years, three months in federal prison and a $2,400 fine for distributing methamphetamine in Northwest Arkansas, according to a news release from U.S. Attorney Kenneth Elser.

Drug Enforcement Administration agents and drug task force officers arranged to buy an ounce of methamphetamine from Jorge Gonzales, 38, on Feb. 3, according to the news release. Gonzales made the sale for $1,400, the news release stated.

Gonzales was indicted on March 16 and pleaded guilty May 12, according to the news release.
