Missouri man accused of stabbing at Fayetteville Motel 6

FAYETTEVILLE — A Missouri man was arrested Sunday after he stabbed someone inside a vehicle at Motel 6, according to a preliminary arrest report.

Roger Buckner, 43, of Seneca, Mo., was arrested Sunday in connection with first-degree battery, a felony.

Police went to the motel at 2980 N. College Ave. about 6 p.m. for a reported stabbing, according to the report. Witnesses told police that Buckner stabbed the victim, went up to his room and locked the door, the report said.

The victim, whose name, age and gender were not released, was taken to a hospital and later identified Buckner as the assailant, the report said.

Messages left for Sgt. Craig Stout, Fayetteville police spokesman, were not returned Monday afternoon.

Buckner was being held Sunday at the Washington County Detention Center on a $150,000 bond and a hold from another department.
