Film festival office closes, is moving

The Bentonville Film Festival closed the West Central Avenue office it shared with Alchemy, an independent film distribution company that filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in June, said Trevor Drinkwater, festival co-founder and CEO of ARC Entertainment.

Drinkwater said ARC Entertainment is planning to open another Bentonville Film Festival office around November in a new building that's under development.

ARC Entertainment had a distribution agreement with Alchemy, but Drinkwater said Alchemy's bankruptcy filing will have no effect on the festival.

Actor Geena Davis is the festival's other co-founder. The second annual festival was held in May, and organizers have not announced dates for the 2017 event.
