A Fayetteville man was arrested Friday after a girl accused him of raping her several times over the last four years, according to an arrest affidavit.

Andrew Green, 24, of 2200 N. Hummingbird Lane in Fayetteville surrendered to the Washington County Sheriff's Office and was arrested in connection with rape and second-degree sexual assault, both felonies.

The girl told police she had been abused by Green for years, the affidavit said. When the girl resisted, Green told her that "everyone does it, and we are just experimenting," the affidavit stated.

Similar incidents occurred between 2012 and 2015, all in Fayetteville, according to the affidavit.

According to the affidavit, Green's family questioned him about his behavior in 2013. Green admitted to the accusations and apologized, but did not go into detail, the affidavit said.

The family said they were unaware of the details of Green's actions until the girl reported Green to Fayetteville police in August 2015.

Green was released Friday from the Washington County Detention Center after posting a partial bond of $25,000.
