Allen picked by Jaguars in NFL Draft

Brandon Allen was selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the sixth round, with the 201st overall pick, of the 2016 NFL Draft Saturday afternoon in Chicago.

He is the fifth former Arkansas player taken in this year's draft.

As a three-year starting quarterback, Allen completed 57.4 percent of his passes for 7,463 yards and a school-record 64 touchdowns.

During his senior season, he threw for 3,440 yards and 30 touchdowns, which rank fourth and second, respectively, in UA history. Allen's Total QBR - an ESPN statistic that grades quarterbacks on every snap - of 87.9 led the country in 2015.

Allen also broke Arkansas' school record for single-game touchdown passes twice last year, throwing for six against Ole Miss and seven against Mississippi State.
