Candlebox rocks

Seattle-based rock band Candlebox -- Kevin Martin, vocals; Dave Krusen, drums; Mike Leslie and Brian Quinn, lead/rhythm guitar; and Adam Kury, bass -- performs at 8 p.m. today at the Metroplex, 10800 Colonel Glenn Road, Little Rock, in support of its new album, Disappearing in Airports, released Friday. Junction Function

The Arkansas Regional Organ Recovery Agency, marking National Donate Life Month, will host the second annual Function at the Junction Bridge Party and Fun Walk, 5:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Clinton Presidential Center, 1200 President Clinton Ave., Little Rock.

The masters of ceremonies, KARK-TV, Channel 4, morning personnel Mallory Brooks and D.J. Williams, will lead participants across the Junction Bridge to North Little Rock for a brief ceremony honoring those who have "given the gift of life." The event will feature entertainment by Mayday by Midnight and Mariachi America; a kids zone with a bounce house; free popcorn, ice pops, ice cream and water; food trucks vending signature dishes; and giveaways, plus on-site organ donor registration.

'Trouble' tryouts

Red Curtain Theatre will hold auditions by appointment for Meredith Willson's musical The Music Man, 6 p.m. May 2 for adults and May 3 for children, at the Faulkner County Natural Resource Center, 110 S. Amity Road, Conway. Principal, secondary and chorus parts are available for adults and children. The director is A.J. Spiridigliozzi. Auditioners should prepare and memorize 32 bars of a song from the show (preferred) or in a similar style; an accompanist will be provided.
