BENTONVILLE — Angel Floro, who is accused of raping and sexually assaulting residents in an assisted living facility he owns, was released on bond Thursday and ordered not to have any contact with the women accusing him.

Floro, 68, of Bentonville, was arrested Tuesday in connection with rape and sexual assault in the second degree. Floro owns New Adams House.

Prosecutors have not filed formal charges against Floro.

Rogers District Judge Paul Bridges set Floro’s bond at $50,000. Floro was released from the Benton County Jail after posting his bond. The judge ordered Floro not to have any contact with the women and said Floro must also stay away from New Adams House.

According to a probable cause affidavit, two female residents in the facility reported to police that Floro had inappropriately touched them.

Floro denied the allegations when he was questioned by police, according to the probable cause affidavit.

“Angel Floro denies the accusations levied against him,” Scott Hall, an attorney representing the Floro family, said. “He appreciated all of the prayers and positive offers of assistance he has received. The Floro family remains committed to providing a safe and secure environment for residents of New Adams House.”

Floro's arraignment is scheduled for 8 a.m. June 6 in Benton County Circuit Judge Robin Green's court.
