— Drew Morgan nearly doubled his career output in one night at AT&T Stadium.

The junior caught eight passes for 155 yards in the Razorbacks' overtime loss to Texas A&M. He caught a touchdown and set up two more scores, stepping up in the absence of three receivers who are out following in-season surgeries.

"Drew was huge for us," quarterback Brandon Allen said. "He came up big time and time again. He made some great catches and had a bunch of (yards after catch). It's hard to say enough about him."

Morgan was the intended receiver on the final play of the game, but Texas A&M defender De'Vante Harris broke up the pass to preserve the Aggies' second straight comeback win over the Razorbacks in overtime.

That play did little to deter from Morgan's individual performance, however. Entering the game, Morgan had 21 receptions for 213 yards and four touchdowns in his career.

He substantially added to those numbers as the Aggies left him uncovered several times across the middle of the field.

"I come out with the juice at practice. I tried to bring the juice today," Morgan said. "I felt like I played great; didn't make quite enough plays to get that fourth down to get us that victory, though."

Morgan's 17-yard touchdown catch in the first quarter gave the Razorbacks the first score of the game. He also had receptions of 31 and 38 yards to set up second half touchdowns and give Arkansas the lead.

Morgan is Arkansas' leading receiver through four games with 18 catches for 303 yards. He has scored a touchdown in three of the Razorbacks' four games this season.

"He's obviously a guy that can make plays for us," Allen said. "A lot of the routes start with him, and he was getting open left and right and making plays for us."

Morgan's 155 receiving yards were the third-most in Southwest Classic history, which dates to 2009.

Former Arkansas receiver Jarius Wright had 289 receiving yards in 2011 and Texas A&M receiver Christian Kirk had 173 receiving yards in Saturday's win for the Aggies.
