Scott to run for third term

ROGERS -- Rep. Sue Scott, R-Rogers, has announced she will seek her third term in the District 95 state House seat.

No challenger has announced for the seat.

Scott is the vice chairwoman of the Legislature's Joint Auditing Committee.

She was a leading sponsor for a new law that formed a state Youth Justice Reform Board. The board will seek to improve coordination between the courts, law enforcement and private and public groups with an interest in youth.

She also sponsored legislation that allows qualified armed forces veterans to be licensed as electricians and in other skilled trades without going through the same long certification process required for those starting out in their fields.
