3 killed, 4 hurt in head-on collision in Pulaski County

LITTLE ROCK — Arkansas State Police say three people were killed and four injured in a head-on collision in Pulaski County.

State police say the wreck happened early Sunday near the Dixon Road exit of Interstate 530 in Little Rock. According to a preliminary report, 44-year-old Joseph Desalvo of Maumelle was driving in the wrong lane of traffic when he crashed into a vehicle driven by 20-year-old James Cobbs of Mabelvale.

State police say both Desalvo and Cobbs were killed in the collision, along with 20-year-old Tekya Wright of Bryant. Wright was a passenger in Cobbs' vehicle, which also collided with a third vehicle. Three others in Cobbs' vehicle were hurt, along with a person in the third vehicle.
