Montgomery to headline at the White Water Tavern

Singer-songwriter Bonnie Montgomery will perform, plus opening act Palomino Shakedown, at 9:30 p.m. Friday. Admission is $7.

Palomino Shakedown is a five-man, one-woman band formed in Austin, Texas, in late 2014.

Trophy Boyfriends and Big E & the Mississippi Boys will perform at 9:30 p.m. Saturday. Admission is $5.

Local H will perform, along with opening acts The Dangerous Idiots and The Defiantz, at an 8:30 p.m. show today at Stickyz Rock 'n' Roll Chicken Shack.

Local H is a grunge-oriented duo formed in Zion, Ill., in 1987. The duo has released eight studio albums, the latest of which, Hey, Killer, came out earlier this year.

Jonathan Tyler will headline an 8:30 p.m. Friday show, which will open with sets by Vintage Pistol and Van Darian. Admission is $10.

Tyler, a Dallas country rocker who recorded and toured under the name Jonathan Tyler and the Northern Lights since 2007, now uses only his own name after being threatened with a lawsuit or a fee of $50,000 by someone who had used that band name in the 1970s. In August, he released his latest album, Holy Smokes.

The Lucious Spiller Band will perform at 9:30 p.m. Saturday. Admission is $5.

Led by Earl Cate, a legendary Arkansas guitarist known as one of The Cate Brothers, Earl & Them consists of Terry Cagle on drums, John Davies on bass and Jason Davis on vocals. The quartet released a double CD, Live at George's Majestic Lounge, on April 19. The album also features guest musicians Jimmy Thackery on guitar, David Renko (a member of the Cate Brothers Band) on saxophone and Dawn Cate (Earl's daughter) on vocals.

Trey Johnson will play from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, followed by Bluesboy Jag from 9 p.m. to midnight. Admission is free to Johnson's show; $5 to the Bluesboy Jag show.

El Campo will headline a show that will also feature opening act Jack Kerowax, at 9 p.m. today at Maxine’s in Hot Springs. Admission is free.

Formerly known as Pillow Talk, El Campo is a folk/country band whose members live in San Antonio and Austin, Texas. Jack Kerowax is a fourman band from Dallas.

Quintessential Octopus will headline the 9 p.m. Friday show and White Kyle will be the opener. Admission is $5.

Foulplay Cabaret, featuring Russell Bruner, will perform at 9 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $10 in advance; $12 the day of the show.

Bruner, a native of Vancouver, Wash., moved to Portland, Ore., and found his calling in the circus, acrobatics and burlesque, especially in roles as a mustachioed villain.

Hot Springs’ Bank of the Ozarks Arena hosts veteran rockers .38 Special on Friday and country singer Travis Tritt on Saturday.

The shows will be part of the 10th annual Hot Springs Open Motorcycle Rally. Doors will open at 7 p.m. each day, with the concerts starting at 8:15 p.m.

Members of the public can buy all-access passes for $50, a day pass for $35 for either Friday or Saturday. The passes allow entry to the concerts and admission to the rally’s Vendor Mall.
