Kapita signs with pro team in France

Arkansas signee Ted Kapita won’t be playing for the Razorbacks. Kapita has signed to play for a professional team in France, CBS Sports reported Tuesday.

Kapita, a 6-9 power forward ranked among the top 50 high school players by several recruiting services, signed with Arkansas last spring after playing at Huntington Prep in West Virginia.

Kapita didn’t enroll at Arkansas in August for the fall semester because he wasn’t academically certified by the NCAA clearinghouse. He had planned to attend Spire Institute in Geneva, Ohio, and if later cleared by the NCAA could have enrolled at the UA for the spring semester or next summer.
