Central Arkansas Christian quarterback Noah Evans threw for four touchdowns and ran for another as the Mustangs rolled to a seasonopening 34-6 victory over Arkansas Baptist at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock. The Mustangs were called for 13 penalties and lost two fumbles in the first half. Arkansas Baptist was flagged 10 times and turned over the ball four times in the second half. 6C

Southside comes back

With a little less than six minutes remaining the the first half, Fort Smith Southside quarterback Cooper Johnson watched Alma return an interception 31 yards for a touchdown and a 19-0 lead. The rest of the game belonged to the Rebels, who reeled off 35 consecutive points in a 35-19 victory at Reynolds Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville. 6C
