Leadership theory subject of program

Eric Thomas Weber, an associate professor of public policy leadership at the University of Mississippi and executive director of the Society of Philosophers in America, will speak Monday at the University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service.

In Uniting Mississippi: Democracy and Leadership in the South, Weber applies a new theory of democratic leadership to Mississippi's challenges. The book draws on insights from classical and contemporary philosophical outlooks on leadership, which highlight four key social virtues: wisdom, courage, moderation and justice.

Seats for the noon lecture in Sturgis Hall on the Little Rock campus can be reserved by emailing [email protected] or calling (501) 683-5239. A book signing will follow.
