The start of Rock Region Metro streetcar service in Little Rock will be delayed until as late as noon today to accommodate electrical work underneath a section of its rails.
The only service in Little Rock after the delay will be at the Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce stop at the foot of the Main Street Bridge, Virginia Johnson, manager of the streetcar service, said in a news release.
The electrical work is being performed by Entergy Arkansas personnel in an underground vault on West Second Street between Louisiana and Center streets.
The streetcar will run the North Little Rock loop and the bridge until repairs are complete, Johnson said.
