ERC moves to Rogers; Office building approved

ROGERS -- ERC, a Fort Smith development company, will start construction on a new home office in Rogers next week, engineers said Tuesday.

A 5,772 office building for ERC was approved by the Rogers Planning Commission during its regular meeting Tuesday. Daniel Ellis, vice president of Crafton Tull, represented the company during the meeting.

Ellis said the company plans to move its office from Fort Smith to the Rogers location. He said work could start on the site as early as Monday and be completed by early spring.

The office will be located along a future portion of Pinnacle Hills Parkway under construction by the city. The stretch is between Pauline Whitaker Parkway and Pleasant Grove Road.

The company recently opened Thrive in downtown Bentonville. Thrive is a 44,000-square-foot mixed-use apartment complex with 62 residential units. The bottom floor of the complex is reserved for start-up businesses.
