Pope's sense of humor is laudable, but limited

Spin Cycle presents another installment of "All The News That's Fit to Razz" ...

Pope Francis, who recently visited the United States, stopped along his Philadelphia route to embrace a baby dressed as a miniature pope. In the video that has gone viral, a guard tells the parents that the pope commended their "great sense of humor."

But we like thinking he said, "Great sense of fashion. Now change! I wore it first, baby!"

Mark Wahlberg master of ceremonies of Saturday's World Meeting of Families event in Philadelphia tried to joke with Pope Francis. After a 14-year-old opera singer sang at the event and embraced the actor, Wahlberg addressed the crowd: "That right there was truly the voice of an angel. But then he whispered in my ear that he loved the movie Ted, and I told him that was not appropriate for a boy of his age!" Pope Francis didn't laugh, but Wahlberg continued, "Holy Father, please forgive me. I've always hoped that the good Lord has a sense of humor when it comes ... to many of the movies that I've made."

We're pretty sure the good Lord is too busy to be sitting around watching Wahlberg's movies. Or at least that he certainly stopped watching them after Boogie Nights. Holy moley!

Kim Fields, the actress formerly known as Tootie from the Facts of Life, has a new gig. She has joined the cast of Bravo's The Real Housewives of Atlanta, which returns Nov. 8.

We'll see if all those years at the preppy Eastland school for girls with Blair, Natalie, Jo and Mrs. Garrett prepared her for getting schooled by Cynthia, Kandi, Phaedra and Porsha.

Frances Bean Cobain, the 23-year-old daughter of late rocker Kurt Cobain, recently married rocker Isaiah Silva, her boyfriend of five years, in a small ceremony not attended by her mother, Courtney Love. Love posted an Instagram photo with much younger model and actor James Norley and the caption: "If you think I'm sorry for being a no-show at any important events this week, think again."

It appears there was no Love lost, but rather uninvited.

• Call it the curse of the multi-million-dollar mansion. Big Bang Theory actress Kaley Cuoco last week announced she's ending her 21-month marriage to tennis player Ryan Sweeting -- this after the couple spent the last year living in the mansion previously inhabited by Khloe Kardashian and her ex-husband, Lamar Odom. The seven-bedroom home in Tarzana, Calif., was featured on the reality series Keeping Up With the Kardashians and Khloe & Lamar. Could it just be unlucky?

Consider that buying it means you can afford a $5.49 million house. That sounds pretty fortunate to us.

• And speaking of divorces, actor Burt Reynolds finally has settled his $154,000 alimony tab from his ugly divorce from actress Loni Anderson.

By finally we mean after 22 years -- the two divorced in 1993. You could say the whole ordeal took a very Loni time.

CSI ended its run recently after an amazing 15 seasons and 337 episodes. Which is really sad for fans who are now left with no crime-solving series and absolutely nothing to watch.

Except Criminal Minds. And NCIS. And NCIS: Los Angeles. And Law And Order: SVU. And CSI: Cyber. And CSI: New Orleans. And ...

It would be a crime not to email:
