EL DORADO 48, SHERIDAN 15

SHERIDAN — Kawon Love rushed 25 times for 331 yards and 4 touchdowns as the Wildcats (4-1, 2-0) rolled over the Yellowjackets (3-2, 1-1) in a 6A-South game.

Love scored on runs of 3, 45 and 18 yards in the first half, and El Dorado led 27-8 at the half.

Love scored his fourth touchdown, on a 39-yard run, with 8:54 to play in the third quarter.

Brockton Brown had a productive night for Sheridan, rushing 26 times for 202 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Brown scored on a 3-yard run with 2:12 to go in the first quarter and added a two-point conversion run to give Sheridan an 8-7 lead.

El Dorado scored the next 41 points before Brown closed the scoring on a 64-yard run with 1:42 to play.

El Dorado outgained Sheridan 477-323 with 417 yards coming on the ground. Sheridan, which rushed for 300 yards, fumbled 6 times, losing 4.

ALMA 41, SILOAM SPRINGS 24

SILOAM SPRINGS — Quarterback Alex Beneux ran for 100 yards and four touchdowns to lead Alma (4-1, 2-0) past Siloam Springs (3-2, 0-2) in a 7A/6A-Central game at Panther Stadium.

Quarterback Noah Dotson, who splits time with Beneux, completed 22 of 26 passes for 196 yards and 2 touchdowns as the Airedales rolled up 393 yards. Braydon Johnson caught 10 passes for 82 yards.

Siloam Springs had 347 yards of offense but was hurt by 3 turnovers and 10 penalties that cost the Panthers 97 yards. Quarterback Jordan Norberg scored on a 13-yard run and passed for two more touchdowns for Siloam Springs.
