Two were charged with robbery and assault, and the other two were charged with assault, UALR spokesman Judy Williams said. The fifth person had not been arrested as of Thursday afternoon.

Names and ages of the five have not been released.

According to the university, the student was assaulted about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday near the Lot 10 exit gate on Campus Drive East as he attempted to walk toward the center of campus.

University police said the victim was hit in the face before his cellphone and wallet were stolen.

The victim was released shortly after receiving medical attention, according to UALR's public safety department.

Williams said the university was working with the Little Rock Police Department on the case.
