The Sunday morning stabbing death of Jerry Moore Jr. raised Little Rock's homicide count to 28 so far this year.
Officers were dispatched to 1406 S. Battery St. shortly before 8:50 a.m. Sunday for a reported cutting. Moore was taken to a hospital, where he later died, Little Rock police spokesman Lt. Steve McClanahan said.
According to a Twitter announcement at 10:30 p.m., Paradise Deanna Williams, 28, was in police custody after first-degree murder arrest warrants were issued for her earlier in the day. Her last known address was 2724 Wolfe St., in Little Rock.
The investigation is continuing, McClanahan said.
Sunday's homicide is the fourth for the city in less than a week.
