ARKANSAS TECH 75, MISSOURI SOUTHERN 72

RUSSELLVILLE — Nick Wayman hit a three-pointer with a 24 seconds left and Arkansas Tech made four of six free throws in the final 16 seconds to lift the Wonder Boys (3-2) over Missouri Southern at Tucker Coliseum.

Tyler Corley came off the bench to lead to Arkansas Tech with 14 points on 5-of-12 shooting and 4 of 5 free throws.

Wayman had 13 points, including the Wonder Boys’ last seven of the game, and had a team-high eight rebounds.

LANE COLLEGE 53,

HENDERSON STATE 52

JACKSON, Tenn. — Joseph Cooper made a layup with 21 seconds left to give Lane College (1-4) the victory over Henderson State.

Henderson (0-5) had several chances to win the game but Kevin Kozan missed a three-pointer with eight seconds left.

Matt Panaggio led the Reddies with 14 points on 6-of-8 shooting and grabbed 8 rebounds. Zydunas Jugurtis added 11.

The Reddies shot 45.7 percent (21 of 46) from the floor.

Lane shot 40.3 percent (25 of 62) from the floor, but the Dragons outrebounded Henderson 35-20.

Kedarius Ash and Cooper led Lane with 10 points apiece, while Ash grabbed a game-high 13 rebounds.

CENTRAL BAPTIST 65

MAGNOLIA — C.J. Elkins led SAU with 17 points on 8-of-14 shooting to lead the Muleriders at the W.T. Watson Center.

Jaron Davis finished with 13 points on 5-of-11 shooting, including 3-of-7 three-pointers, and had 6 rebounds for SAU, which also got 12 points and 12 rebounds from Alvin Braddock.

Southern Arkansas (4-2) shot 54.3 percent (38 of 70) from the floor and outrebounded CBC 44-37.

Fred Albright led CBC (3-4) with 15 points while Jalyn McBride added 11 points for the Mustangs.

ARKANSAS-MONTICELLO 63

CLEVELAND, Miss. — Arkansas-Monticello fell to 0-5 with its loss at Delta State.

The Statesmen used a 9-0 run over 4 1/2-minute stretch in the first half to break open an 8-6 game and never trailed after that.

UAM shot 36 percent from the floor (21 of 58), including 12 of 24 on three pointers. Richard Benedyth led the Boll Weevils with 19 points.

Devin Schmidt led Delta State with 19 points while Jamal Peterson had

OUACHITA BAPTIST 71

STEPHENVILLE, Texas — EJ Reed scored 19 points and Malcolm Hamilton added 16 points to lead Tarleton State to a victory over Ouachita Baptist.

Tarleton State (5-1) shot 58.3 percent (28 of 46) from the field and made 6 of 18 free throws.

It also made 26 of 31 free throws.

Ouachita Baptist (1-5) was led by Luke Westbrook, who scored 15 points and made 3 of 7 three-pointers.

The Tigers shot 37.9 percent (22 of

58) from the field and committed 16 turnovers.

TEXAS WOMEN’S 73,

HENDERSON STATE 53

DENTON, Texas — Kara Mitchell and Kenesha Saygo scored 10 points apiece to lead Texas Women’s past Henderson State (2-3).

TWU led 21-15 after the first quarter, 42-26 at halftime and 55-39 after three quarters.

The Pioneers shot 45.6 percent (26 of 57) from the floor, including 4 of 10 on three-pointers and 17 of 24 free throws.

Henderson shot 32.2 percent (19 of

59) from the floor, including 2 of 12 on three-pointers.

Dulincia Keener led the Lady Reddies with 12 points and Brittany Branum added 11.

ARKANSAS-MONTICELLO 83, ANGELO STATE 76

SAN ANTONIO — Jordan Goforth scored 35 points to lead Arkansas-Monticello past Angelo State.

Goforth was 12 of 23 from the field and made all 9 free-throw attempts. She also had 10 rebounds.

Nikki Mullen added 13 points,

Ayesha Ward had 12 points and Taylor Collins 11 for the Cotton Blossoms (2-2), who shot 47.1 percent from the field.

Taylor Dorsey and Jasmine Prophet led Angelo State (3-1) with 18 points.
