The woman reported that the rape occurred between 1:45 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. at a fraternity house on North Arkansas Avenue, according to university police.

She has requested no criminal prosecution, said Capt. Gary Crain with university police, but he said a police investigation will be forwarded to a prosecutor for review.

Reporting a sexual assault allows the university to impose a prohibition on contact between the parties involved. The university also has a disciplinary process separate from any criminal investigation. If a university panel finds a student responsible for sexual misconduct, penalties may include suspension or expulsion.

Crain said the man identified by the woman as her attacker is a member of the fraternity. Crain described him as an acquaintance of the woman.
