First Thursday Reception — The first Schmidt & House photography collaboration, “We’re Not Telling You Everything,” will be featured from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Fayetteville Underground. An artists’ talk will take place at 6:30 p.m. fayettevilleunderground.com.

“Fading Memories” — Two25 Gallery in Bentonville will host the work of Tansil Stough of Hot Springs through December. Stough created the paintings in the “Fading Memories” exhibit from familiar photos from the days following the assassination of JFK. A reception will be held at 6 p.m. Nov. 5. Art Talk: Jerry Gorovoy on “Maman” — Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art will host assistant and longtime friend to Louise Bourgeois, Jerry Gorovoy. Gorovoy will discuss the life and work of this iconic artist with curator Chad Alligood at 2 p.m. in the museum courtyard under Bourgeois’ “Maman.” Free. crystalbridges.org.

“Any Given Sunday” — “Any Given Sunday” explores the role of nostalgia, media and commerce to comment on society’s relationship with sports. “The Telephone Game: An Art Show” — This grown-up visual interpretation of the children’s telephone game involved the first artist painting his interpretation of an image, then passing that painting, but not the original image, to the next artist. More than two dozen noted regional artists’ interpretations make up the exhibit that will be on display at The Space in Eureka Springs Nov. 6-Nov. 8 with a reception 6-10 p.m. on Nov. 6. norbertaphilbrookgallery.com.

“Let There Be Light” — St. James Baptist Church in Fayetteville will host local photographer Andrew Kilgore’s exhibit featuring 20 new photographs of African American men. The exhibit will be from 10 a.m. to noon Nov. 7 and will include a community conversation meeting focusing on the challenges and hopes of black youth and adults. 443-2096 or 521-8657.

Meet the Fiber Artists — Heartwood Gallery in Fayetteville will host fiber artists Janine Croxford with solar dying on fabric, Suzanne Bullard’s woolens and Darcy Harris with creative sewing from 1 to 4 p.m. Nov. 7. 444-0888.

Frank Lloyd Wright House Opening — Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art will host the public opening of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Bachman-Wilson House on Nov. 11. There is no cost to view the house, but advance tickets are required. The house will be open during the museum’s public hours. “The Artist Revealed: Artist Portraits and Self-Portraits” — The Fort Smith Regional Art Museum will have an opening reception for the Artist Portraits and Self-Portraits exhibit, which features 50 works in a variety of media by famous artists including Norman Rockwell, C.S. Lewis and Pablo Casals. The reception will begin at 5 p.m. Nov. 12 and is free for RAM members, $5 for nonmembers. The exhibit will be on display through Dec. 20. fsram.org.

Art Talk: “Picturing the Americas” — Join Crystal Bridges curator Mindy Besaw at 1 p.m. Nov. 16 for this close look at three paintings in the new exhibition “Picturing the Americas.” The observed works will illustrate how landscape painting played a role in shaping national identity throughout the Americas. “Semi-Automatic” — Semi-Automatic is an architectural exhibit memorializing victims of mass shootings in the United States and was created by Marc Manack and Frank Jacobus, both in the Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design. The exhibit will be on display in the Fred and Mary Smith Exhibition Gallery, located on the first floor of Vol Walker Hall at the University of Arkansas, through Nov. 20. uark.edu.

“The QR Code Paintings: An Interactive Experience” — These QR code visual artworks by Barrett Johnson are interactive paintings derived from texts and transliterated into codes — information as visual art. The exhibit will be on display in Nadine Baum Studios McCoy Gallery in Fayetteville through Nov. 22. communitycreativecenter.org.

Digital Photography by Jeremy TenHaken — Jeremy TenHaken’s collection of digital photographs of Cube will be on display in the lobby of The Bank of Fayetteville on the Fayetteville square through Nov. 30.

Jerome Mazyck — Work by artist Jerome Mazyck will be on display in the Smith-Pendergraft Campus Center at the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith through December. Mazyck does drawings and graphics, paintings and printmaking. Reception at 5 p.m. Nov. 4. Free. 788-7300.

“Strokes of Genius: JBU’s Pastel Invitational Exhibit ” — The Department of Visual Arts at John Brown University in Siloam Springs is hosting a pastel artist show featuring eight artists all honored as International Association of Pastel Societies’ Master Circle recipients. The show opens with a reception at 6 p.m. Nov. 5 at the Windgate Visual Arts West JBU gallery and will run through Dec. 15. jbu.edu/art/gallery.
