Fayetteville High School shifts afternoon pickup to UA campus

The plane investigation led to the closure Tuesday of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, a key route of access to Fayetteville High School. The road closure led school officials to make alternate plans for today’s afternoon pickup.

Students will dismiss as usual at 3:45 p.m. today, but parents are to pick students up from Lot 56 on the University of Arkansas campus, west of the Razorback Soccer Stadium, according to a news release from Fayetteville School District.

Parents should take Razorback Road to the west entrance of the parking lot.

Stadium Drive will be closed from Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard to Bulldog Boulevard, between the high school campus and the UA parking lot, so car riders can walk safely from the high school campus across the street to the parking lot.

The dismissal plans do not affect bus riders or student drivers.
