The death of a woman whose body was found Wednesday at 802 Bailey Ave. in Springdale is now being investigated as a homicide, according to a news release from the Springdale Police Department.
The woman is identified as Emily Nash, 28, of Springdale. A family member who had gone to check on Nash called police, who found her dead with a gunshot wound, according to an earlier news release.
Detectives were present at Nash's autopsy Friday morning, Friday's news release stated. The official report won't be returned to police for several weeks, but offers were provided enough information to investigate Nash's death as a homicide, the news release stated.
Police did not release any other details about Nash's death, or why they believe it was a homicide.
