VOLLEYBALL

ASU adds Texas A&M transfer

Darby Graff, a 6-1 middle blocker, has transferred to Arkansas State from Texas A&M and will be eligible to play in the 2015 season, Coach David Rehr announced Wednesday. Graff appeared in 14 matches for the Aggies, including 10 as a redshirt sophomore last season. She had a hitting percentage of .339 and averaged 1.47 kills per set.

JBU women add assistant

Former Wake Forest midfielder Riley Ridgik was hired Wednesday as a women’s assistant coach at John Brown University in Siloam Springs.

Ridgik led the Demon Deacons in scoring as a junior in 2013 (11 goals, 23 points) and as a senior in 2014 (5 goals, 2 assists, 12 points). She was an All-Atlantic Coast Conference freshman team selection in 2011 and an All-ACC second team selection in 2013.

Statistics needed

High school boys and girls soccer coaches are asked to report their end of the season statistics to the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette by 4 p.m. Saturday. Offensive statistics needed include goals and assists. Goal keeping statistics needed include won-loss record, goalsagainst average and games started. Statistics needed

High school baseball and softball coaches are urged to report their end of the season statistics to the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette by Friday’s 4 p.m. deadline.

Offensive statistics needed include at-bats, hits, doubles, triples, home runs, RBI and stolen bases. Pitching statistics needed include victories, losses, innings pitched, earned runs allowed and strikeouts.
