Emily Anne Clevenger and William Noah Pierce were united in marriage at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, May 16, in Covenant Presbyterian Church. The Rev Jim Hudson of Fellowship Bible Church officiated.

Meg and Tim Clevenger, 3 Old Forge Court, are the parents of the bride. She is the granddaughter of Donna and Frank Clevenger of Millington, Mich., and the late Helen and Earle Kavanaugh of Livonia, Mich.

Parents of the groom are Jennie and Dana Pierce of Jacksonville. His grandparents are Bobbie and Max M. Pierce of Camden, Thomas C. and the late Norma Jean Hitt of North Little Rock and Betty Jo and Gordon F. Griffith of Pangburn.

The chancel held two large arrangements of white hydrangeas, roses and peonies. Music was by a string quartet with Jessica Henard, Claire Herman, McKenzie Matney and Laurel Simon.

Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a tulle ballgown with a sweetheart neckline and beaded waistband. She carried a bouquet of peonies and roses wrapped with a piece of her mother's wedding gown.

Maid of honor was Katherine Clevenger of Little Rock, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Lauren Montgomery and Robyn Jones, both of Little Rock; Lindsey Aloway of Memphis; Kathryn Clark of Benton; and Brittany Miller of Springdale. They wore champagne-colored strapless gowns of chiffon and carried bouquets of white roses, peonies and hydrangeas.

Flower girl and ring bearer were Pearson Vandiver and Jack Pierce, cousin of the groom, both of Little Rock.

Drew Pierce of Fayetteville was his brother's best man. Groomsmen were Jacob Wray of Crawfordsville; Will Van Patten of McKinney, Texas; Daniel Bingham of Little Rock; Ryan Higgins of Fayetteville; and William Franklin of Memphis. Seating the guests were Matthew Clevenger, brother of the bride, and Josh Harpool, both of Little Rock.

A reception at Pleasant Valley Country Club followed the ceremony. Guest tables held cylinder vases filled with white roses and hydrangeas. Music was by Boom Kinetic.

The bride graduated with honors from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock with a bachelor's degree in communication disorders. She plans to attend the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in the fall to pursue a master's degree in speech language pathology and will be a full-time student.

The groom was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, where he received a bachelor's degree in political science. He has a master's degree in business administration from UALR. He is chief financial officer of Golf Cart Headquarters of the South.

The couple will reside in Little Rock after a wedding trip to Antigua.
