Physicians' Hospital earns recognition

Physicians' Specialty Hospital in Fayetteville received the 2015 Women's Choice Award for Orthopedics from WomenCertified Inc. for a second consecutive year.

Hospitals qualify as an America's Best Hospital for Orthopedics based on an in-depth proprietary scoring process, utilizing data reported by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Physicians' Specialty Hospital was selected because of high ratings in areas such as post-treatment complications, patient recommendations, availability of microscopic surgery and adequate post-surgical care.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports 719,000 total knee replacements and 332,000 total hip replacements were performed nationally in 2010. The Women's Choice Award identifies America's Best Hospitals in Orthopedics in order to address the growing need for bone and joint care, and disease prevention.

Rhonda McCabe is CEO of Physicians' Specialty Hospital. The hospital is partly owned by physicians and is a short-term, acute-care, inpatient specialty hospital. The hospital has provided orthopaedic and other surgical specialty services since opening in 2009.
