11th juror selected for Holly murder trial

BENTONVILLE — The 11th juror was chosen Thursday morning during jury selection for Zachary Holly’s murder trial.

Holly, 30, of Bentonville is charged with capital murder, kidnapping, rape and residential burglary. He previously pleaded not guilty to the charges.

A woman was selected to the panel Thursday morning. She was selected out of six prospective jurors. The jury is currently made up of 7 men and 4 women.

Attorneys have been questioning prospective jurors about their feelings concerning the death penalty.

Jurors must be able to consider life imprisonment without the benefit of parole or a death sentence as possible punishments in the case.

Jury selection will continue this afternoon. One more juror is needed and three alternates are being selected.

Holly lived next to Jersey's family on Southeast A Street. He and his then-wife sometimes babysat Jersey and her younger sister, according to court documents.

A medical examiner determined Jersey died from asphyxia, according to court documents.

Holly is being held without bond in the Benton County Jail.
