An Arkansas teenager placed third in the National Geographic Bee in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday, winning a $10,000 scholarship.

Sojas Wagle, a student at Southwest Junior High School in Springdale, competed against students from across the country.

In addition to being a geography whiz, Wagle is also a top-notch speller. In January, he placed second in the Washington County Spelling Bee.

Wagle is the son of Dr. Sameer and Aparna Wagle.
