Amber Garrison, 23, had fled Morrilton's old city jail, which is used for Conway County's female inmates, after someone mistakenly left a door to her cell unlocked, Sheriff Mike Smith said last week.

Shortly after noon Monday, Garrison, who is from Pope County, turned herself in to that county's sheriff's office in Russellville. She was back in the custody of Conway County authorities later Monday, authorities said.

Garrison was in jail on a felony drug charge and some misdemeanor counts.
