Police arrest man in home invasion

Pulaski County sheriff's office deputies arrested a man Thursday morning and charged him with robbery in a Monday morning home invasion, according to an arrest report.

Joe Jim Justice, 51, 7017 Barberry St. in North Little Rock, was arrested at the sheriff's office at 9:56 a.m. Thursday, the report said.

According to the sheriff's office, Justice kicked in the front door of a residence in the 14000 block of Cedar Lane in north central Pulaski County about 9:50 a.m. Monday. The home was occupied by Louise Heathcock, 75, the daytime caregiver of 67-year-old Calvin Sellers, who is disabled.

Heathcock told deputies that Justice told her to "sit down and shut up" or he would "tie her up." Justice then stole six rings and $120 in cash before fleeing on foot.

Justice, also charged with a misdemeanor count of theft of property, was being held in the Pulaski County jail Thursday night in lieu of a $5,500 bond.
