A motorcyclist was killed Thursday in a collision in Crawford County, Arkansas State Police said.
It happened shortly before 6:20 p.m. on Arkansas 162 near Sunnyside Road, which is just west of Kibler.
According to a report, 55-year-old Richard Thomas Gaither of Alma was riding a 2009 Yamaha motorcycle east on the highway behind a vehicle that passed on the right a 2000 Chevrolet that had stopped to turn left.
The motorcycle then hit the left rear wheel of the Chevrolet as it turned, the report said.
Gaither suffered fatal injuries. No one else was hurt.
Conditions at the time were said to be clear and dry.
The death was one of three in vehicle crashes reported Thursday in Arkansas that raised the total so far this year to 154, according to preliminary figures.
